Future Goals

Oregon Writers Colony works toward making the Colonyhouse accessible to all. For this purpose, we have been working with an architect, Dennis Mitchell Thompson www.dmta.com who has created architectural plans for an addition on the lake side of the house including meeting rooms, accessible bedrooms and kitchenette and an elevator that will allow all who use the house to enjoy the main floor of the original log cabin, its view to the Pacific, and be able to use the main floor bathrooms and kitchen. While we raise funds for the addition, we work to make the original cabin as accessible as possible.
