Mentor, Shaindel Beers (Poetry)
Shaindel Beers’ poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction have appeared in many journals and anthologies. She is an instructor of English at Blue Mountain Community College, and serves as Poetry Editor of Contrary. Her two full-length poetry collections are A Brief History of Time (2009) and The Children’s War and Other Poems (2013), both from Salt Publishing. Shaindel is currently working on a short story collection for Press 53 as well. She lives with her partner Jared and son Liam in Pendleton, OR.
