Join OWC Member Cindy Brown, Annie Blooms Books, and local actors Cyndi McGean, Bruce Miles, Brian Tennison and Jennifer Zubernick as they launch The Sound of Murder, a new mystery from the award-winning Henery Press. The free festivities will be held Thursday, October 8 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at O’Connor’s Vault, 7850 Southwest Capitol Highway, Portland, OR. It’ll be an evening of comedy, mystery, and a few silly songs (plus a cash bar and free cake)!

Class on writing about Portland cemeteries

Christine Colasurdo is teaching a class this fall entitled “Reading and Writing about Portland’s Cemeteries at the Multnomah Arts Center in Portland.

The class begins Oct. 2 and meets 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fridays. Writing exercises will focus on life, love and loss, and the class will take three field trips to historic cemeteries.
