Oregon Writers Colony hosts a writing residency that is held at Colonyhouse—a cabin on the Oregon coast. Our noncompetitive, paid residencies are open to all who apply. Application fees and memberships subsidize our residency program and help us keep providing affordable time and space for writers to immerse themselves in their craft. Small cohorts, writing partners, and other literary groups are also welcome at Colonyhouse.
Using Colonyhouse
Colonyhouse is a beautiful historical Steiner log cabin on the coast of Oregon in Rockaway. Sitting on top of a dune, it offers a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean to the west, and Lake Lytle to the east.
With three rooms and holding up to 6 people, Colonyhouse is perfect for a group writing retreat, or a solo writing getaway.
